Educational Qualifications for TNPSC Recruitment 2024

Group II Services

  1. Probation Officer: A degree in Arts or Science. Preference for candidates with a degree in Sociology or Psychology. Preference for candidates with experience in social welfare work or a Diploma in Social Service.
  2. Deputy Commercial Tax Officer: Must possess a B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. degree. Preference in the following order: Degree in Commerce and Law with a Diploma in Taxation Law; Degree in Commerce and Law; Degree in Commerce or Law with a Diploma in Taxation Law; Degree in Commerce; Degree in Law; Diploma in Commerce. Preference for Released Emergency Commissioned Officers/Ex-Servicemen.
  3. Junior Employment Officer (Non-Differently Abled): Must possess a degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce.
  4. Assistant Inspector: A degree from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission. Preference for candidates with: M.A. in Social Work; Diploma from Madras School of Social Work; M.A. in Applied Psychology from Sagar University; Diploma from Institute for Labour Welfare Workers, Bombay or Xavier Labour Relation Institute, Bihar; Diploma from PSG School of Social Work, Coimbatore; Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from University of Baroda; Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Administration from Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies; Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, and Labour Welfare from Madras Productivity Council; P.G.
