Educational Qualifications

The minimum educational requirement for various posts is a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. However, specific posts have additional desirable qualifications:

  • Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: A bachelor’s degree is required, but additional qualifications such as CA, Cost & Management Accountant, Company Secretary, Master in Commerce, Masters in Business Studies, Masters in Business Administration (Finance), or Masters in Business Economics are preferred.
  • Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class 12th, or a bachelor’s degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects during graduation.
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university is required, along with at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class 12th, or a bachelor’s degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.
  • Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is necessary, with a law degree from an accredited university being desirable.
  • Research Assistant in the National Human Rights Commission: A bachelor’s degree is required, with additional qualifications such as a legal or human rights degree from an approved university being preferred.
  • All Other Posts: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or its equivalent is sufficient.

Selection Process

The SSC CGL 2024 exam pattern is expected to mirror that of previous years, featuring two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2024

  • The Tier 1 exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
  • Each section will contain 25 questions, each carrying 2 marks, totaling 200 marks.
  • The exam will be conducted online with a duration of 60 minutes for each section.
  • Tier 1 serves as a qualifying exam, and its marks will not be considered in the final selection.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2024

  • Tier 2 will comprise three papers: Paper 1 (compulsory for all posts), Paper 2 (for Junior Statistical Officer), and Paper 3 (for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer).
  • Paper 1 includes sessions covering Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, and General Awareness, along with a Computer Knowledge Test and Data Entry Speed Test.
  • Papers 2 and 3 will each have 100 questions worth 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours per paper.
