Educational Qualifications for ICF Railway Recruitment 2024
For Ex-ITI Candidates:
- Fitter, Electrician, and Machinist: You need to have passed 10th grade (with at least 50% marks) with Science and Math under the 10+2 system or its equivalent. Additionally, you must have a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from either the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT), valid for one year or more.
- Carpenter, Painter, and Welder: You should have passed 10th grade (with at least 50% marks) under the 10+2 system or its equivalent. You also need a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from either the NCVT or SCVT, valid for one year or more.
- Programming and System Administration Assistant: You must have passed 10th grade (with at least 50% marks) and hold a National Trade Certificate in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant from either the NCVT or SCVT, valid for one year or more.
For Freshers:
- Fitter, Electrician, and Machinist: You should have passed 10th grade (with at least 50% aggregate marks) with Science and Math under the 10+2 system or its equivalent.
- Carpenter and Painter: You need to have passed 10th grade (with at least 50% aggregate marks) under the 10+2 system or its equivalent.
- Welder: You must have passed 10th grade (with at least 50% aggregate marks) under the 10+2 system or its equivalent.
- MLT (Radiology and Pathology): You should have passed 12th grade under the 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Note: Candidates with an Engineering Degree/Diploma or who have completed the Course Completed Act Apprentices are not eligible to apply.
Training Periods
Hi friends, Here you know how long you get trained by ICF Indian railway department for this 2024 recruitment. Check following training periods:
- If you’re an Ex-ITI Fitter, Electrician, or Machinist, your training lasts for one year.
- Ex-ITI Carpenters, Painters, and Welders also have a one-year training period.
- For those in Ex-ITI Programming and System Admin. Asst., it’s also a year of training.
- Freshers in Fitter, Electrician, and Machinist roles undergo training for two years.
- Freshers in Carpenter and Painter roles also train for two years.
- Freshers in Welder roles have a training period of one year and three months.
- Freshers in MLT (Radiology & Pathology) roles also train for one year and three months.
Age Limit
Let’s talk about age requirements:
- If you’re applying from an ITI background, you should be at least 15 years old but not over 24 years old.
- For non-ITI applicants, the age range is 15 to 22 years.
Now, about age relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation.
- OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation.
- General/EWS candidates with disabilities get a 10-year relaxation.
- SC/ST candidates with disabilities get a 15-year relaxation.
- OBC candidates with disabilities get a 13-year relaxation.
And remember, the reservation and relaxation follow the directives of the Government of India.
